Personal profile:

I am one of the leading aortic surgeons in the UK, with the second highest volume of aortic repairs and the best clinical outcomes in the country.

I am Regional Director of Aneurysm Screening, President of the UK Vascular Society; Past Chair of the UK Vascular Quality Improvement Committee and Past-President of the British Society for Endovascular Therapy. I have been Clinical Tutor for Critical Care at the Royal College of Surgeons.

I run a clinical research unit and have published over 200 papers and books relating to vascular and venous disease.

Training & background:

I trained at Leicester where I followed an academic surgical career, gaining extensive, minimally invasive endovascular experience. I established an outpatient-based vein practice at St George’s Hospital where I have been a Consultant since 2005.

In 2014 I was appointed as Professor of Vascular Surgery, St Georges University of London.
